Intelligent Automation is controlled by the Rapid e-Suite ENGINE. This ENGINE is part of Configurator.
Configurator controls what every other product and tool in the suite can do by creating the necessary instructions in the form of packages. These packages are then loaded by the other products and the instructions carried out.
The ENGINE evaluates the business requirement you have asked it to prepare, then collects the configuration data [yours from your instances or standard data shipped with the Knowledgebase. The data is combined with the necessary dependencies required to achieve your business goal and the ENGINE then prepares an electronic package with the appropriate command instructions to drive the tools or products – such as REVERSE, BUILD, MIGRATE, ORACLE FORMS, ORACLE HTML SCREENS. In fact the ENGINE can create instruction sets for any final product – as those instruction sets are loaded into the KNOWLEDGEBASE as a series of templates.
Comparing instances for differences, extracting configurations from one instance and injecting into a different instance – are areas where the intelligence plays a strong part. The ENGINE also uses a sets of rules for many of its functions – these rules can be enhanced or changed by the end customer – enabling each customer vary the results based on their needs.
